Community Groups

If you work with children and young people in a local community group or organisation you need to make sure that you have the following things in place for staff and volunteers:

  • Child Protection/Safeguarding training
  • DBS (formerly CRB) checks
  • Policies and Procedures

If you are a local community group, we can help you with free child protection training, support in developing your policies and procedures and the opportunity to get an accredited quality mark called Simple Quality Protects (SQP)

Safety Net DBS Checking Service

Safety Net is a registered Umbrella body for Disclosure and Barring Service Checks.  We can also give groups advice about how to deal with checks and safe recruitment.  Find out more »
