Individual Support for Families

We work in partnership with families and schools and offer a respectful, confidential and flexible service tailored to individual families’ needs. Our service is led by the concerns of parents/carers and we aim to work together with family members to find solutions and bring about positive change.

Who is the Service For?

This service is available to families with a child/ren at a participating primary schools in Brighton and Hove

How does it work?

We usually meet with parents and carers at home, school or other location of your choice. This is an opportunity to discuss the issues you and your family are facing and the changes you want to make. We can meet for just one session or may offer on-going support over several weeks or months, we can work with all the family members and will review progress regularly. We can visit you at home, meet at school or offer telephone support.  If we cannot help you we will help you find the right support for you and your family.

We may use an Early Help Assessment to help co ordinate a package of support if other support services are needed, families have found this approach very helpful.  ( see Brighton and Hove Council website and search ‘Early Help ‘ for more information on Early Help approach )
