Brighton and Hove

3 days a week (21 hours) initial contract to 31 March 16

Salary SO1 29 £25,440

Do you want to work in an empowering and creative way with parents/carers /families where children and young people have emotional wellbeing and mental health needs?

Safety Net in partnership with Brighton and Hove Community CAMHS Team seek to appoint a Family Support Worker to work within the Schools and Communities Team.  The post holder will undertake specific strategies to solve problems at the point of need, home visiting and group facilitation and school consultation. A background in family support and mental health settings is required.

Safety Net is a registered charity that works to promote safety and wellbeing for children, young people and families.

This is a new & exciting opportunity to volunteer with our experienced Children & Young Peoples Team.

Safety Net will be running a programme of activities during the school holidays for the children and young people who have used our support services throughout the year.

The activities will include: outings, adventure days, music and drama workshops, Protective Behaviours groups, outdoor activities, arts, crafts and cooking.
