Youth Project Worker

Brighton & Hove, Sussex

 

Fixed term to 31.08.16   18 – 21 hrs per week

£24,646 – £26,276  pro rata

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Young Persons project worker to deliver a ‘Protective Behaviours’ based  intervention service to young people aged 11-19 who have experienced (or are at high risk of) sexual abuse. This programme will involve group work with identified young people. Experience of working with young people who have high levels of needs is essential as is the ability to work cooperatively with children’s social care and voluntary sector organisation.

Applicants will have at least 3 years experience of effecting positive change through working with young people and of facilitating group work sessions with young people.

A professionally recognised qualification relevant to work with children and young people is required and experience of working with young people who have  experienced sexual abuse is desirable.
