Project Worker – Young Persons Sexual Abuse Survivors Project

Fixed term to 31.03.16 18 hrs per week
£24,646 – £26,276 pro rata

Safety Net has secured Comic Relief funding to develop the new Young Persons Survivors project.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Young Persons project worker to develop and deliver a ‘Protective Behaviours’ based intervention service to young people aged 11-19 who have experienced (or are at high risk of) sexual abuse. This programme will involve one to one work and group work with identified young people. Experience of working with young people who have experienced sexual abuse is essential as is the ability to work cooperatively with children’s social care and voluntary sector organisation.

Applicants will have at least 3 years experience of effecting positive change through working with young people and of working on a one to one basis and in group situations.

A professionally recognised qualification relevant to work with young people is desirable.
