Did you know that children aged 0 – 4 years old are the most at risk from accidents in the home? You can make your home safer through our home safety scheme, which supplies a variety of safety items such as stair gates, bed guards, fireguards and cupboard locks.
You are eligible for the scheme if all of the following apply:-
- You live in Brighton and Hove
- Have a child under the age of 5
- You are receiving benefits (e.g. Income Support, Working Families Tax Credits)
- You need equipment or advice to help make your home safer
As part of this scheme, Safety Net also visits local children’s centres to talk to parent groups about ‘Keeping children safe at home’.
To make a referral
You can self refer by contacting Eleanor Davies our home safety co-ordinator directly on 01273 411613 or e-mail Eleanor.Davies@safety-net.org.uk
