How does it work?
Families are referred by schools who are working in partnership with us. They are are referred for lots of reasons, which can include, parenting or behavioural issues, family breakdown or other difficulties which are impacting on family life. We can meet families individually for up to 6 – 8 sessions, either at home, in school or another place where families feel safe.
If we can’t help because the issues are too complex or specific, we will help families to find the right support from other organisations. We may also use an Early Help Assessment to co-ordinate a package of support if other support services are needed, and many families have found this approach very helpful.
We also offer a book-in service in school for parents and carers to access individual parenting advice from one of our experienced workers. In addition, we can help parents and carers to link up with other parents through group work programmes and activities that we offer.
