Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course, is the gold standard and most effective form of Mindfulness training as pioneered by Jon Kabat-Zinn.
This eight week programme will support participants in developing lifelong strategies to enhance their own emotional well-being and resilience. This course is suitable for anyone, and is also ideal for those working in health and social care fields such as nurses, social workers, family support workers, health visitors, teaching and nursery staff . Such roles can be as emotionally demanding and as stressful as they are rewarding; this programme will help build abilities to manage personal well-being and combat compassion fatigue.
Additional clinically proven benefits of MBSR include: stress reduction, pain management and an improved ability to deal with anxiety, depression and insomnia. Mindfulness is widely recognised as a powerful tool that can help us enhance appreciation of life and manage stress, empowering those who practice to thrive rather than just survive.
The course comprises of 8 x 2 hour sessions on Mondays, from 5.30pm to 7.40pm. The sessions run from 8th October 2018 to 3rd December 2018 inclusive. Please note there will be a break for half term on 22nd October.
